Nominations for the Excellence Awards 2010/2011 are now open

Nominations have opened for the Mines and Money Australia 2011 Mining Excellence Awards.

The Mining Excellence Awards aim to reward outstanding Australian companies and individuals for their contribution to the global mining industry in the year ending June 2011.

Nominations come from around the globe and the winners are voted for by the international mining industry.

The award will be presented at the prestigious Mines and Money Australia 2011 Gala Dinner, held at the Dockside, Darling Harbour, Sydney on 11 October 2011.

The five awards categories are:

  • Excellence in Discovery
  • Excellence in Production and Mine Management
  • Excellence in Corporate Transactions
  • Excellence in Technology
  • 2011 Legend in Mining Award

Nominations (self-nominations are allowable) should comprise:

  • The award cateory
  • The name of the proposed recipient
  • A short (max 200 word) citation

Nominations must be received by 12 August 2011, after which the editorial team at Aspermont will draw up a shortlist. The shortlist will be subjected to one month of on-line voting by the industry to select this year’s winners.
