Alex Williams – Director – First Reserve

Alex D. Williams, Director, joined First Reserve in 2008. His responsibilities include investment origination, structuring, execution, monitoring and exit strategy.  He is involved in investment activities in all areas of the worldwide natural resources industry, with particular expertise in the mining and related sectors having worked on First Reserve’s investment in Glencore and CRS.  Prior to joining First Reserve, Mr. Williams was a Director at 3i plc, the international private equity firm, where he worked for nine years across numerous jurisdictions. Prior to 3i plc, he worked at J.P. Morgan in the Corporate Finance and Capital Markets groups. Mr. Williams holds an M.Chem from University of Oxford.
