Alexander Yakubchuk

Dr Alexander Yakubchuk is director and chief operating officer of Orsu Metals Corporation. He joined the company in 2008, as a consultant and later as director of exploration, bringing in more than 14 years’ experience gained in the FSU (including Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan), as well as in Australia, Mongolia, China, Canada, and Europe. From 2003-07, Mr Yakubchuck was exploration manager for Europe and FSU at Gold Fields. He has worked with companies such as BHP-Billiton, Norilsk Nickel, Goldcorp, Rio Tinto, World Bank and Inco, and also lectured as an associate professor at Lomonosov Moscow Sate University.
