Ampella Mining Ltd is an incorporated Australian company with the objective of acquiring, exploring, developing and mining gold assets in Burkina Faso, West Africa.
Ampella’s current focus is on the 2,600km2 Batie West Project which covers 110km of a highly prospective major crustal shear south east Burkina Faso. The Batie West Project contains the recently upgraded JORC Code Compliant 3.1Moz Gold Resource at Konkera (Indicated 1.6Moz; Inferred 1.5Moz) which is the largest single undeveloped gold resource in Burkina Faso (at a 1 g/t gold cut-off). Pre-feasibility studies are currently underway on the Konkera Resource and it is expected that Ampella will become a gold producer in 2014.
Exploration continues on the remainder of the Batie West Project with results to date confirming the potential for further multi-million ounce gold deposits across the Batie West Permits.
Ampella is well placed to take advantage of further exploration success with an excellent local team, experienced management and funding for aggressive exploration programs into 2012.
