Andrew Forrest

Andrew Forrest is founder and CEO of Fortescue Metals Group Ltd. He has created two major Australian resource houses from scratch, which are now major suppliers of nickel, cobalt and iron ore to the world’s steel industries. At Fortescue, Mr Forrest oversees the implementation, construction and commissioning of ports, railway lines and iron ore mines, including the discovery of billions of tonnes of iron ore and raising $4 billion to fund projects. He is chairman of Poseidon Nickel Ltd and founder of The Australian Children’s Trust, the Australian Employment Covenant and Generation One.
