Heavy mineral sands producer,  IDM International (ASX: IDM) owns 100% of Oregon Resources Corporation (ORC) which is developing the Southern Oregon Mineral Sands Project located near  Coos Bay in south west Oregon, United States. The Project is a scaleable plant that is capable of handling varying ore feed from the heavy mineral deposits. It is currently producing a high quality Chromite foundry sand branded as “SpheriChrome” together with Zircon, Hi-Fe Ilmenite and is expected to add a garnet and alumina silicate products later in 2012. Products are sold primarily to foundries and specialty casting markets throughout the world.
