Andrew Forrest, Chairman, Fortescue Metals Group
Industry and philanthropic leader Andrew Forrest is the founder and Chairman of Fortescue Metals Group and the Australian Children’s Trust as well as a number of other charities and companies.
Educated at Hale and the University of Western Australia (double major in Economics and Politics), Andrew comes from a well known Western Australian family. He has been awarded the Australian Centenary Medal, the Australia Sports Medal, Australian Social Entrepreneur of the Year and West Australia Citizen of the Year for his contribution to regional development.
Recognised widely as family orientated and a strong community supporter, he and his wife Nicola are major sponsors of the Arts and very active in ventures to protect and help under privileged children.
