Michael Chender, Founder & CEO, Metals Economics Group
Mr. Chender has been a leading voice in the mining industry since 1973, when with his father, Jules Chender, he began Copper Studies, the then leading copper industry consulting publication. In 1980, Chender founded Metals Economics Group (MEG), where for twenty years he led the development of its information services and consulting. While continuing as Chair of MEG, in 2001, Chender started a competitive intelligence software solution company focused on the resource sector. That same year, he founded ALIA (Authentic Leadership in Action), a recognized leader in organizational learning and training. He returned to an active role in MEG in 2008 to help lead an ongoing expansion of its services and analytical capabilities
