Women in Mining
Women in Mining (WIM) UK is a non profiit organisation dedicated to promoting the employment, retention and professional developemnt of women in the mining and minerals sector. This group was created in 2006 and now includes close to 700 members. Membership is free and open to all women in the mining industry wherever they work. The majority of members are based int he UK or continential Europe. WIM UK provides information and networking opportunities to its members and promotes the role of women in the mining industry and the sector as a career choice for women. Women in Mining is also a worldwide networking organisiation.
