Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange:  Accessing the World’s Largest Natural Resource Market

Toronto Stock Exchange (“TSX”) and TSX Venture Exchange (“TSXV”) are currently home to 58% of the world’s public mining companies.  This session will explore the ways by which mining companies have accessed capital, gained global visibility and grown their business through a listing on TSX and TSXV. The session will provide practical advice through a group of highly experienced professionals on the following topics:

1. The different methods of listing on TSX and TSXV including the initial public offering (“IPO”), the reverse takeover (“RTO”), the qualifying transaction through the Capital Pool Company Program (“CPC”) and a dual listing.

2. The listing process on TSX and TSXV and what a company can expect of the listing process.

3. The legal and financial considerations to be taken into account when considering a listing on TSX or TSXV and the steps a company should take in preparation.

4. An overview of the filing and disclosure requirements applicable to a public mining company in Canada.

5. Steps to take in order to maximize a TSX or TSXV listing in terms of putting an effective investor relations program in place.

This course will be of interest to advisors and mining companies who are considering a listing on TSX or TSXV.  Participants will receive reference materials that offer further details on the topic covered during the course and will have the opportunity to network with fellow participants and course leaders following the formal presentation.
